Booking & Session Info

Hi! Here is a guideline and flow of what you can expect with a session with me! Please let me know if you have any further questions.

  1. Contact

Get in touch with me via Instagram DM (marleegoto.photography) or email (marleecgoto@gmail.com) so we can set up a date and time for you! We’ll discuss photoshoot information and any questions you may have.

  • Key things you’ll want to keep in mind and let me know: Location, duration of shoot, time of day (lighting), number of people, how many locations you want to cover, any outfit changes, any film add ons

  • Key things I’ll let you know: Rates, amount of edited pictures (depending on session duration), travel fees (if applicable), any recommendations you request

2. Secure Booking

Confirm your booking by paying a 30% non-refundable down payment.

Please note that your booking will not be confirmed and put on my calendar until the down payment is received.

3. Get ready!

You can ask me any questions in the meantime regarding creative recommendations to gather ideas before the shoot. Please share sample images if you have any specific shots you have in mind. Please also prepare and bring all your props you’ll want to use. I’ll check in with you at least 24 hours before to confirm the session and a spot to meet up. I will also contact you earlier if there appears to be any extreme shifts in weather.

Please contact me at least 48 hours in advance if you would like your cancel or change your shoot.

4. Photoshoot!

Let’s have fun! I will do my best for you to enjoy and feel comfortable in front of the camera!

5. Delivery

I will send you over the preview images within 3 business days for you to choose which ones you would like edited.

Please make sure you like my editing style before booking. You can reference my previous works of how you want them edited, but I will not be taking specific requests that are away from my editing style.

After selection, please allow 1-2 weeks for edited images to be delivered (can take longer during peak grad season). The faster you get the selections back to me, the faster I can get started on editing them!

Expedited and additional edits are available with an additional fee.

6. Sharing

If you’re sharing your photos online, please tag me at @marleegoto.photography for Instagram! Would truly appreciate your support, thank you! :)

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can I combine sessions to have different shot pairings like solos + duo, solos + group, duo + group, etc. in one session?

Yes! The rate will be based on the total number of people featured in the session. 

Q: Can I combine digital + film in one session?

Yes!

Q: Can I add people to the shoot after booking?

Please do your best to inform me the number of people before booking. Last minute additions of people will result in additional charges depending on the amount of change. 

Q: Can I wear multiple outfits?

Yes! Unlimited outfit changes within our allocated session time. Time used for the outfit changes will be counted towards the session time. 

Q: How many locations will we be able to shoot?

Depends on the location, but for on-campus shoots we’ll do our best to cover as many locations we can and desired within our allocated time. Any transportation fees that take place during the session will be charged.

Q: Can I bring along someone who won’t be in the shots but will help me out during the session?

Yes!

Q: Can I bring my pet(s) to be in some of the shots?

Yes!

Policies

Cancellation Policy:

Please contact the photographer at least 48 hours in advance if a cancellation or rescheduling  for the session is desired. If it is past the 48-hour mark and the client needs to reschedule on their end, the security deposit will not roll over to the rescheduled time/date. If the photographer needs to reschedule or by any other circumstances (Ex: extreme weather, etc.), then the security deposit will roll over to the rescheduled time/date. A no-show will result in an automatic 75% payment of the total scheduled fee. The rescheduling will begin with the security deposit.

Refund & Retake Policy:

There are no refunds after the session. Please make sure you like the photographer’s photography and editing style beforehand. A dislike of the photographer’s style is not a valid reason for a refund. A retake session is different from a reschedule where the session has already taken place, and the client is not satisfied with the delivered photos that they request to have another session. Retake sessions will be handled as separate bookings starting with the deposit with no payment rollover. The only exception of a full refund or the payment being rolled over from the previous session is if the photographer could not perform due to photographic materials being damaged, lost, malfunctioned, or unable to be delivered.
